My name is Coach John. Our ROGace journey began when I asked my seven-year-old granddaughter what sport she would like to play. She stated Tennis and I researched and found ROGace at the South Town Tennis & Pickleball. After a year of Ava attending ROGace, Coach Wojtek invited me to join the coaching team at ROGace. Working with the kids has been very gratifying. Four years later, here we are. Ava has graduated from ROGace, and her little brother Jackson is a ROGacer!

As someone who grew up playing tennis, I always hoped my daughters would have a chance to experience the sport I loved. Interestingly, it was through their gymnastics classes at South Towns Tennis & Pickleball that we stumbled upon the ROGace tennis program—an unexpected yet welcome twist in our journey. The program at ROGace is nothing like the one I remember from my childhood. It’s more dynamic, more structured, and definitely more challenging—not only for the kids, but for us coaches as well. Since joining the coaching team in 2021, I’ve seen firsthand how this environment pushes both players and instructors to grow. What stands out most is how much fun the kids are having while being challenged in the right ways. Our child began his ROGace journey with a clean slate and no tennis experience. Over time, he honed solid fundamentals and a rounded understanding of the game. More importantly, beyond any skill or technique, he developed an appreciation of healthy competition along with a deep sense of sportsmanship for his fellow player.
