Where can your child learn new skills, develop friendships, and have fun all year long? The answer is right here, right now at ROGace! More than just a tennis club, ROGace is a vibrant community of friends and family who enjoy the healthiest and happiest experiences—on and off the tennis court.
At ROGace, our 12-and-under tennis program was developed with three key goals in mind:
Introduce.
We teach tennis to all children, regardless of their skills and athletic abilities.
Ignite.
We spark a lifelong passion for tennis and inspire personal growth.
Improve.
We promote healthy play, self-confidence, persistence, and sportsmanship.
Rolling out the ROGace philosophy.
We celebrate a mastery of gameplay in the best possible environment for every player. How do we do it? The ROGace philosophy is founded on three key tenets:
1. Ability
The best strokes and strategies start with fun and games at ROGace! And with specialized equipment and modified court sizes available, we can level the playing field for even the tiniest tennis players.
As their abilities evolve, ROGace players develop a mastery of skills and a healthy hunger for competitive play.
2. Transparency
In the spirit of complete transparency, our coaches and staff clearly communicate to children, parents, and each other—from goals to expectations and outcomes.
During team play or through personal consultations, group meetings, web updates, or email communications—we’ll make sure your child’s progress is always measurable, trackable, and accessible.
3. Specialized Coaching
Tennis is a tough sport to master, and keeping children engaged and entertained is never easy. That’s why our coaching staff has the training, skills, and experience to support even the youngest players—all day, every day. We hold ourselves to the highest standards so your children have the most rewarding experiences.
ROGace Badges: Play on. Level up.
In martial arts, children earn a new belt when they’ve mastered a new skill or competency—as their skills advance, they’re rewarded with a belt of a different color. With this concept in mind, our badge system celebrates a tennis player’s growing ability to perform in six basic areas:
- Forehand
- Backhand
- Offense
- Defense
- Serve
- Sportsmanship
Badge Levels
Each badge level represents a goal to strive for. While players rarely “unlock” every badge level, they will earn a badge for each level they’ve mastered. When players master a tennis skill, they will earn a badge and advance to the next set of skills.
Badge Colors
Badge colors are typically determined by a player’s size. While red badges are given to players of a smaller stature, orange badges are given to players who are a bit bigger. To accommodate all ROGace players, equipment and court sizes may vary by badge color.
Red Badge
- Level 1 Beginner: Players learn rudimentary mechanics
- Level 2 Intermediate: Players develop basic skills on a modified court
- Level 3 Tournament: Players foster a healthy competitive spirit
Orange Badge
- Level 1 Beginner: Players develop basic skills on a standard-sized court
- Level 2 Intermediate: Players master basic skills and tactics on a standard-sized court
- Level 3 Tournament: Players foster a healthy competitive spirit
One badge at a time.
Earning a badge requires time, patience, and persistence. With constant guidance and thoughtful coaching, players will level up only when they are mentally and physically ready to advance.
